While transferring stuff to new car, I found a pair of gloves that had apparently been in the old car's trunk. Thanks to this thread, I put them in the glove compartment. Really had to jam the bastards in there, too.
Do you have a stash of dogfood in there just in case? [a friend always argued that dogfood was the best emergency ration because you knew you wouldn't eat it unless it really was an emergency.]
Alas, no. That would probably be a good thing to add, along with a gas can and a blanket. Right now it consists of jumper cables, the gloves, and a few bottles of HEET.

You can probably also get MREs from a surplus store (or various places online). Believe me, you won't eat those unless you have to, but they'll get you through emergencies just fine.

As a motorized two-wheeled vehicle owner, I don't have a proper "glovebox", but I do have two storage compartments on my scoot, one of which contains gloves.

Fingerless gloves? C'mon, Dr. Emo.

I've got one pair on the front seat and one pair in my "emergency breakdown supplies" bag in the trunk, but none in the glove compartment.
