Chicago Activity Suggestion
Perhaps for those of us who aren't going to '80s Prom, there's Neverwhere, A Circus Underground, a "circus-themed stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman's graphic novel, 'Neverwhere.'" Only ten bucks -- any takers?

Whatever the answer is...
People better straighten the schedule out and pronto -- my parents want it laid out and I can't say I blame them. What are folks thinking at this point?
Let's put that in the maybe pile...
To be honest, that sounds pretty bad. (Which probably means everybody else will love it, but it's gotta be said.) Driving all the way out to Evanston for anything describing itself as a "circus-themed stage adaptation" does not appeal to this camper.
For 10 bucks, we could go see a movie and then go drink. There should be plenty of actiony-comedy-whatever playing that weekend, which I am confident I'd enjoy more. That said, if everybody else is excited about going to the other thing, I'll gird up and tag along.
ETA:
I forgot stankow doesn't drink. We could see a movie and then do something else?
I don't mind spending time
I don't mind spending time around other people who do drink. Bars are actually kinda fun when you just sit back and watch other people getting dumber.
hmm
The 80's prom thing is the only thing I know of for sure that we're doing. The Perhaps someone could set up some evites (loathesome tho they may be)?
so far
Ideas are:
-Friday evening BBQ or Iron Chef party at the rental unit, if the kitchen allows
-Saturday or Sunday afternoon Field museum trip
-Saturday night "prom" party vs. alternative choice X
any other thoughts? When in the Ballgame?
Saturday is Cubsday
The ballgame is on Saturday at 12:05, so the Field Museum would have to be on Sunday.
my 2 cents
I'm not all that excited about the play--being descended from circus folk and all I'm sure it would all hit way too close to home. So if we want to split up the team, I'd be game for alternative activity X.
