Week 2 didn't feature much upheaval in the standings, except in the Fried Soup division where all five teams moved around. Stabby Action and Your Mom each only swapped two teams, and Caption This swapped none.

Stabby Action seems poised to become the Fried Soup of 2008, as it's currently the home of our 17th, 18th, and 20th place teams. But it's still early days yet. :)

Let's get to the couplets!

Rivers rolls Denver, and GEHR's 2-0;
Third-lowest in points, the Ghost's starting slow.

      Final Score: Ghost Of Roger Staubach 41.2 -- Rhyparographers 83.6.

Witten and Portis made mule's squadron click:
Their roster non-moves won the Belichick.

      Final Score: Pantywaists 89.8 -- Steamers 68.2.

Despite injured Curtis, Yuppies prevail;
"Petes" get a Prothro, our trophy for FAIL.

      Final Score: Petersons 81.1 -- Iron Yuppies 87.9.

Pirates beat Cheatahs in high-scoring match
Start Marshall, not Shockey -- Marshall can catch.

      Final Score: Pirates 106.2 -- Cheatahs 93.5.

Those Edgewater boys are getting it done,
But Army's still second in Stabby Action.

      Final Score: Army 22.6 -- Fustigators 61.2.

Trinities mangle The Show, take first place;
Jbou's in the cellar, egg's on his face.

      Final Score: Trinities 143.9 -- The Show 13.8.

Fargo escapes thanks to Manning's rally:
Tomlinson's toe slowed the Nitehawkez badly.

      Final Score: Nitehawkez 62.3 -- Arborists 69.4.

Defenseless Irish, QB-less Miah:
The Defenestrators' score was higher.

      Final Score: Defenestrators 68.2 -- Hooligans 60.8.

Cutler put 4 TDs up -- Denver's hot!
Even when Buffalo wins, Cy cannot.

      Final Score: Grim And Frostbitten 87 -- Beefalo Balls 75.

Headbangers roll; they're first in Fried Soup.
Los Tastiks' offense resembled John Shoop's.

      Final Score: Headbangers 97.7 -- Los Tastiks 56.9.

Texans and Ravens had to take a bye,
Because of wind and rain up in the sky.

We're down to just five undefeated teams and five winless teams, so I'm hoping we can start the Streak Watch next week. Either the Beefalo Balls or The Show will have a win by then, which takes a team out of the running for the Streak of Piss. And if the 0-2 Wicked Cheatahs manage to upset the 2-0 Rhyparographers, that'll be two teams with broken streaks. Ideally there will never be more than three teams in the running for either title, because that's all I have space for in the little box on the bottom right. :)

Tune in next week for more Pigskin!

Meltdown! Apocylapse! Dance Panic!

I have a decent chance at the streak;
Of piss, that is, i may well lose each week.

Also, since I can't ever remember my password or which email was associated, I've axed off Sharif and re-emerged as Ace.
