Week 13 Recap
The post-season is finally here! Congratulations to The Hooligans and The Pantywaists, who snagged our last two remaining playoff spots; all three of their rivals failed to win their win-or-go-home games, and therefore went home.
This means that the Your Mom division produced fully half of our post-season contenders, and through a quirk in the seeding it turns out that none of them will play each other in the first round. We could be looking at an all-Your Mom semi-final round next week!
Our couplets come to an end after this week, in favor of more prosaic post-season recaps. So let's get 'er done!
Rodgers and the Colts D got them the win:
Will Headbangers claim the title again?
Final Score: The Headbangers 102.1 -- Grim And Frostbitten 60.7.
Chicago ho-hummed their way through this game,
But took first in Caption This all the same.
Final Score: Chicago Rhyparographers 42.2 -- Fargo Arborists 40.5.
Edgewater knocked the Cheatahs for a loop.
The only flaw: Matt Cassel played like poop.
Final Score: Baystate Wicked Cheatahs 27.9 -- Edgewater Fustigators 77.2.
A ninth loss (to the Steamers) for The Show.
They're tied for first...in earning of Prothros.
Final Score: Amherst The Show 61.1 -- Great Lakes Steamers 75.7.
With Romo benched, Tastiks were risible.
Collins, et al? All but invisible.
Final Score: Pacific Coast Pirates 110.8 -- Los Tastiks 20.
One of two meaningless Week 13 games:
Defenestrators dismantled Arcane.
Final Score: Arcane Nitehawkez 56.3 -- The Defenestrators 94.4.
Berrian, Witten snuck Pantywaists in
But no one could keep out those Hooligans.
Final Score: The Pantywaists 84.9 -- The Hooligans 63.9.
Squorch stays home, but this was original:
All five of his wins were divisional.
Final Score: Ghost Of Roger Staubach 43.1 -- The Iron Yuppies 26.
Notyou scored enough to beat 18 squads,
But not the one he was playing. Waahhh wahhhhh...
Final Score: Oak Ridge Trinities 135.7 -- The Wrong Petersons 109.7.
Since Donovan McNabb destroyed the Cards,
It would seem he took last week's benching hard.
Next week we'll only have four games to recap, but just as a reminder to those of you who missed the playoffs but are still hungry for fantasy action, there will be a consolation ladder this year. For simplicity's sake, we won't be taking the consolation results into account when setting up next season's draft, but it's still a few more chances to beat up on another team -- and who doesn't love that?
See you next week for the quarterfinal results!
