Predicate Pigskin 6: Week 13

And so our sixth season as Predicate Pigskin (eighth season as a league) draws to a close. As generally happens, the teams with the inside track won the games they had to win, thus settling our remaining questions in a fairly conventional manner.

The two developments of real consequence were The Boys Named Suh getting their groove back and jumping from 9th place all the way up to 4th, and Ghost Of Roger Staubach salvaging the dignity of Caption This by making the playoffs and allowing two teams from each division to participate in the post-season. Some assistance was provided by The Hooligans in that regard, as the Grumpy Kittehs could still have made it if they had defeated Irish's team in Week 13. This marks the second season in a row misskaz has finished with a winning record but still been denied a playoff berth; this year, the eaton/roops collective managing the Fargo Arborists joins her in that unfortunate category.

Traditionally, the Commish uses the final recap of the season to request feedback about and/or suggest possible changes for next season. Since our only major change from last season was replacing the 2nd RB slot with a FLEX slot, and that change seemed to work out pretty much perfectly, it seems like we may have this fantasy football thing figured out at long last. Or at any rate, the Commish can't think of anything in particular to improve the league absent other changes in the NFL itself (like moving to an 18-game season). That being said, feedback and suggestions are always welcome and encouraged. :)

With the regular season completed, this will be the Pigskin recap until we select our champion in three weeks and wrap up the post-season. Congratulations to the eight teams who are continuing on, and to the others, thanks again for participating and we hope to see you back here next fall!
