Homer and Lisa read "US of A TODAY" over breakfast.
Homer: Here's good news! According to this eye-catching article, SAT scores are declining at a slower rate!
Lisa: Dad, I think this paper is a flimsy hodgepodge of pie graphs, factoids and Larry King.
Homer: Hey, this is the only paper in America that's not afraid to tell the truth, that everything is just fine.
In its never ending quest to be the Paper of Record for People Who Dislike Reading, USA Today serves up a vast array of hard-hitting charts and graphs on issues that Americans care about most. October 3rd's "Snapshots" reveal such essential statistics as:
- 93% of all dog owners say their dog wags its tail when happy.
- Hamburgers, Hotdogs, and Chicken are in a virtual dead heat for 'Favorite Tailgating Food.'
- Sales of Tennis Rackets were up 16% in 2004.
So, using MS Paint or whatever you have handy, create a chart or graph that shows the numbers that affect your life. To get you started, here's a graph indicating why giving me daytime internet access is a bad idea.
