santa didn't brunged me a copy by my own doing. i was going to hold off til the WoW addiction subsided a little more. but i can probably pick it up next week when we're back from a new year's trip.

how does it work?
PBEM is new to me, can you give a quick rundown of what it involves?
It's basically just a civ
It's basically just a civ game with multiple human players that is played by emailing a save file around and having each player take their turn.
I've never tried it...the original feature I think went in with CivIII - play the world.
You can also play real networked civ, but the PBEM is appealing because it allows more schedule flexibility.
